Summary
Dazai and chuuya go on a mission and encounter an ability user the flicks them to another universe, which has man eating demons. So dazai and chuuya train to become demon slayer!not to save people but to be able to gain Intel promised by Kagaya Ubuyashiki if they help slay demons.
So that's how they ended up here, hashira and over time building a bond stronger than before, they've always been soulmates but now that they have been forced to be in Clos range with each other for the past 6 months, the tension has been suffocating.
Maybe the love hashira could help with that? She's the professional right? Even though its totally not romantic feelings or whatever! (Tsundere chuuya canon)

Summary
Leaving the mafia had been Osamu Dazai’s number one priority—after his best friend died telling to do so, and of course, he defects only a few days after that. Dazai’s almost proud of himself, until he gets trapped in a cruel twist of fate: taking care of a baby and being on the run from the mafia. That kind of life gets easy with a year or two—but when it’s time to come out of hiding and advance to the frontlines, he has reached the point of utter ruin. It can’t get any worse than this, right?
