“Can’t we?” Annabeth brought the cup to her mouth but did not drink yet, blowing idly at the lid out of habit.
Percy leaned on the counter, and Annabeth swore she saw his gaze flicker to her lips. Just for a second. “Definitely can’t.”
A barista finally, finally spells Annabeth’s name right on her cup. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s hotter than her latte.
