Summary
“It is nice to meet you, Shane Hollander.” Ilya nods his head at the crumpled paper in Shane’s hand. “What is that you have there?”
“Oh.” Shane’s cheeks are a perpetual state of flushed red. “Before I came, I made a list of, um, things I am looking for in a car? Practical things, I guess. I didn’t want to forget.”
Ilya’s lips quiver, and he resists the urge to let an incredibly fond smile overtake his face. This tall, muscular omega could not be more precious if he was made of teddy bears and heart stickers.
“May I see it?” Ilya inquires, extending his hand again.
With visible reluctance, Shane passes over the piece of notebook paper.
Ilya glances up at Shane, arching an eyebrow. The omega smiles shyly at him, his warm brown eyes glimmering.
“Am I completely out of my mind to try and find all of these things in one car?” he asks.
“I never let a customer leave unhappy.” He winks at Shane, who lets out a small, startled laugh. It’s an utterly breathtaking sound, even as brief as it is.

“Rozy!” They cheered, just like they had for…whatever the other guy’s name was. Shane didn’t care anymore – he had his target. He was going to sleep with this guy Rozy or die trying.

Summary

When Shane Hollander follows a string of drownings to Bracken Bay, he finds an unlikely partner in Ilya Rozanov, a three hundred fifty-one-year-old vampire with terrible manners and too much folklore knowledge.
It ends, as many things do, with the unbearable discovery that monsters come in many shapes and sizes, and sometimes even in the form of humans.Or: Shane Hollander, the hunter, meets Ilya Rozanov, the vampire. Their first encounter goes, as expected, horribly. The rest goes considerably worse.
