Summary
Frank lets his hair grow out until it falls in thick loose waves around his temples, and he grows a beard, too, then shaves it and grows it again. Peter finds himself staring at him way too much at the most inopportune moments (while being shot at, for example), wishing he got to have him for himself for a minute to get a good look at him. He almost starts wishing one of them got hurt (just a little bit, of course), wishing for the quiet moments of closeness that only ever come when one of them is patching the other one up and the world stops spinning so damn fast.

Bilbo Baggins has returned to the Shire fundamentally changed. The hobbits, nosy neighbors and cheerful children alike, notice it in his newly-acquired treasures he displays proudly upon his wall, his increasingly unstable temper, and penchant for telling stories of his grand escapades by his bench in the morning. Well, word-of-mouth (and, judging by Master Baggins' hidden little plait with a golden clasp at the end) is that Bilbo had been engaged to some distant Dwarf: or, that is, he wants them to believe such. After all, Bilbo had always been a bit of a wild sort, and, in his youth, liked to make up stories in his favor to make all the other fauntlings jealous.
Cue the hatching of a scheme by one Lobelia Sackville-Baggins to get her cousin to admit his lie. How else may he prove it, if Thorin Oakenshield lays cold in a stone coffin half a world away? How else can Bilbo show that...whatever had been going on with them during those 14 months...was real as the acorn he had buried in his garden?
OR, ALTERNATIVELY: everyone thinks bilbo made up a deceased hot steamy dwarf husband for the fun of it. said hot steamy dwarf husband is actually NOT deceased, and he is also very late to tea.

Now Obi-Wan has an apparition of Darth Vader showing up in his home on Tatooine, standing over him in his kitchen, and sitting down with him at mealtimes. And, to make matters worse, he keeps saying the oddest things.
Things like, "I'm sorry," and "I killed Emperor Palpatine," and "I handed the Imperial government over to Bail Organa in exchange for your address."
Worst of all: "I love you, Obi-Wan."
Crazy old wizard, indeed.

Summary
It shouldn't be a surprise, really, if the knights think punching each other in the arm is a viable and efficient way of cheering each other up, that they also think insulting each other is a perfectly good way to show affection. Insults are compliments, threats are reassurances, and actual bodily harm is considered good manners or at the very least the mark of genuine companionship. Basically, take everything Merlin's ever been taught about how you actually treat the people you care about and flip it on its head, because stars know that if any one of these men actually behave as though being nice won't incinerate them, the world will actually end.
Alright, maybe he's being a bit harsh.

This is the tale how of a man, too vain to know kindness, was turned into a hideous beast, doomed to waste away until he is rescued by a lover to show him and guide him into a better character.
Undoubtedly, this all sounds a bit familiar, and that’s because it is. When the Enchantress lifted the curse on the Beast, turning him back into a prince, the castle resumed its original position, the teacups and the clocks turned human, everything returned to how it should be- except for one thing. The lifting spell rebounded upon hitting the ugliness of a man underneath the rubble, and in a side effect of saving his life, turned him into a grotesque creature.
It is an obvious story, for it has happened before. We all know the ending. But the ending isn’t important. When someone jumps to their death, the landing isn’t what is important. Landing is inevitable and uninteresting. It’s the falling we all care about.
In Gaston’s case, it’s falling in love, truly falling, for the first time.
