Summary
Nanami hisses as if he’s in pain, and Nobara looks over at him. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” he says stiffly, not really sounding fine. “It’s just—” he rolls his wounded shoulder and winces.
Oh, shit.
Half of his body is injured, and he can’t stop moving it.

Summary
Marcus holds the goblet up, still stinking with klauthgrass, and ponders them, clutched in the wretched claws of his undead monsters. "Well," he says, and smiles. "If you will not willingly drink it, I have a manner of encouragement."
And then he raises his dagger, pricks his own wrist until scarlet pools over his pale skin, and lets blood drip into the goblet.
Before he can help it, Astarion stiffens.
Astarion has spent two hundred years with truth as a bitter enemy. Fitting, then, that his choice to say it is taken from him.

Summary
The bed is empty.
For a moment, Chris thinks he has the wrong room. He almost goes to check the room number again before his eye catches the blanket crumpled at the foot of the bed, haphazardly strewn over the side and spilling onto the floor. Various leads and sensors from the monitors connect to nothing but the pillow they're resting on, their screens black— no beeps or hums or alarms. An IV line hangs from the bag on the pole and leads his gaze down to the floor where the needle rests in a puddle of fresh blood.
"God damn it, Leon—"

Inexplicably, unfathomably...
As he opens his eyes, sunlight streams from his right in warm lines, heating his skin through his shirt and vest. Red then fills his vision: red thread knitted into intricate stitches, pooled on the couch where she sits. He finally breaks the surface of consciousness, blinking the remnants of sleep away. He lifts his head a little to blankly stare at Yor's smile.
Twilight keeps falling asleep around his family.

Alternate summary: Felix didn't mean to make it his damn job to take care of the falling apart "Boar Prince", but it seemed to fall to him anyways. But then Ashe wants to help, and then Annette is there, looking pissed at him, and from there, it all falls apart.

"Steady now, Master Elf, do not swoon."
"Tis not my first arrow." Legolas snapped, irritation beating back the pain, and opened his eyes to see the hobbits exchanging quick looks. "You irk me on purpose." He realised, and then inhaled sharply as the pressure increased.
"I thought it might keep you awake." Gimli admitted.
Legolas is wounded before they even reach the Misty Mountains. It brings the company together.

Summary
It’s enough newness to call his feelings for Jester what they are. It takes enough brainpower to get over himself and do something about it. And it feels like everything to just be able to say he cares for her and to ask to kiss her.
He forgets that there’s usually more to it. He forgets that he’s never liked sex. He forgets that maybe this is all about to become a big problem.
In his defense, he’s never claimed to be smart.
