“Jonah Magnus.” The cloudy silhouette snarled as it’s hand clamped tightly around Jonah's ascot. That was indeed his name, but Jonah couldn’t begin to fathom what he did to have it spat out with such hatred.
But nonetheless, Jonah was a gentleman and he would kindly address the angry figure as politely as possible, “Yes, and you are?”
“What?” The form spluttered as it slowly came into focus. Ah, yes. That probably wasn’t the proper response to being held at gunpoint by a random stranger. Must have been the blow to his head.

Summary
When the creature feeds, it remembers many things. It sees something called a plane crash through the sky into a sea of sand that is not green and cold, but instead golden and unbearably hot. The creature remembers pain and loss and monsters that are not itself and it remembers faces and blood and grief.
But when the sight of The Tower shines upon the creature, the moment passes, and all is lost in that blinding light.
(Or in other words, Jon is a monster without memory and Jonah is more than happy to take him in)

Trying to be a low-profile vigilante works wonders for keeping his distance, especially from this world's Tony Stark. The problem with gravity, though, is that no matter how hard you fight it, it always ends up dragging you back to the ground.
Or: Peter copes with the trauma of his losses and a biology he doesn't understand, while the Avengers, specifically Tony Stark, try to protect a fourteen-year-old pup who absolutely refuses to be protected.
