“I—well— I do like you, Mingi,” he fidgets even more with the hem. “Wooyoung was right and well, San said maybe I should try talking with you.”
Mingi—he doesn’t know what to do. He panics.
“I don’t know if you’re seeing anyone right now or if you even feel the same way—”
And Mingi decides to lean into the presumption, as he always has.
“You’re right, Yunho. I’m sorry. I don’t feel the same way.”
Yunho’s face crumples, devastation clear in his expression. He waits for a moment, for Mingi to say anything else. To take it back, maybe. To admit he loves him back.
When it doesn’t come, he turns. He doesn’t look back.
He leaves.
Mingi wishes it didn’t have to be this way.
