    Summary

    The Starks have always been the champions of the Old Gods, only mistakes made by the last three generations led to the extinction of the family. That might have been the end, only the Old Gods had been soaked in generations of Stark blood and devotion. They decided to change the flow of time, to take the one person who could move the family off the path of destruction and make him live life again. Ned Stark hadn’t known how many mistakes he had made, but the gods were going to show him… and then make him try again.

    What if Robb Stark had managed to bring his armies to King's Landing? What if everything had gone exactly as planned for once, and all the Starks (including Ned) were able to go home to Winterfell, where they belong? A play on the timeline and a culling of treacherous characters is all that is needed.

    This is a story where everything works out okay in the end. Lord Eddard Stark becomes the reluctant king in the North, and he comes back home with a princess for his heir to wed.

    The air reeked. Nico wrinkled his nose as the sourness grew stronger. It coated the back of his throat, sparking the slightest headache in his temples.

    He’d been following the trail for what felt like hours. He’d first noticed it on a trip to London–something to do with an upset ghost of a former ruler. Honestly, Nico hadn’t paid much mind when Hades proposed the mission. They both knew that it was just an excuse to get Nico out of the house.

    Then he smelt it.

    It wasn’t so bad a few miles back, like someone had forgotten to wash their gym clothes for a few weeks. If he hadn’t recognized it he wouldn't have paid any mind, but Nico knew that acrid sweetness. It emanated softly from Leo and Frank: the stench of cheated death.

    For it to be this strong… Nico didn’t even want to think about it.

    Nothing goes the way the Fates intended. When Percy gets expelled (again), he doesn’t go to Yancy Academy. Instead he ends up at Privet Drive, England, where he meets a boy with a lightning bolt scar, broken glasses, and the curious ability to talk to snakes:

    “I know. I’m a freak,” the boy muttered.

    Percy stood there, not understanding the problem. Yeah talking to a snake was kinda freaky, but on the spectrum from cool to freaky it was definitely more on the cool side.

    “If it helps, I can talk to fish.”

    The boy frowned skeptically. “No you can’t.”

    “What, you can talk to snakes but I can’t talk to fish?”

    Nico's dreams were mangled with wispy, smoke-like wraiths, the likes of which he'd only ever heard of in the Fields of Punishment.

    Probably meant nothing. Just a dark gray cloak of eldritch cloud wisps that zipped through the air and devoured everything in its path.

    Rachel dropped her breakfast plate in the middle of the dining pavilion.

    "Aw, shit," someone muttered.

    Nico has been tasked to retrieve the Deathly Hallows. He's off to jolly ol' Scotland in search for them with five others. But Thanatos hasn't revealed everything yet. Something threatens the Wizarding World with untapped rage, the likes of which might even terrify Voldemort.
