Summary
At Albus's request Remus returns to Hogwarts to protect Harry from Sirius. Before the year ends Remus discovers something horrible, not only does he have a mate — his mate is a fucking child. He refuses to ruin Hermione's life by telling her what he's discovered, instead he suffers through each moon knowing she's out there and letting Moony tear him apart for not keeping her safe beside him.
After the Battle of Hogwarts Hermione doesn't understand why she feels the need to take care of Remus almost as much as she feels the need to take care of Harry. Remus still refuses to burden Hermione with the truth, even as she takes on the Wizengamot for him. When Hermione pieces it together she refuses to let Remus hide from the truth anymore.

Summary
Draco Malfoy has built himself a quiet life in Diagon Alley. He brews potions, runs his shop, raises his son, supports the small shops around him and allows elderly witches to bully him into accepting sweets he does not want. It is a good life. A life that keeps his days carefully ordered.
Then Hermione Granger begins walking past Neville’s shop every morning with her daughter and her yellow school bag. Hermione never looks at him. Rose does. One yellow school bag, one unnecessary change to Draco’s routine, and suddenly the life he thought was settled begins to shift.
Hermione has problems of her own. A marriage held together by habit. Ron is gone more often than he is home, his affairs have become poorly kept secrets, and his Quidditch career matters to him far more than the daughter waiting for him to remember her.
