Summary
What really happened at Saltwic. Finan finds Sihtric in the midst of a flashback and cares for him. Their relationship deepens as a result, leading to love deeper than that of a brother-in-arms.
Mostly canon compliant, aside from the fact that I have willed SW (Sihtric's wife, we miss her daily) into nonexistence, and some dramatized/fleshed out backstory for Sihtric. The timeline is also probably a little off, as I'm definitely stretching how long they spend at Saltwic out. In the show, it's a week or two at most, and here, it's more like a month or two. It doesn't do much to affect the story, but it is a breach from canon.

Summary
A short drabble/oneshot set after The Prince and the Slave. Can be a standalone.
Growing pains aren't just physical. A fight between Uhtred and Sihtric ends with the younger Dane saying something regretful that brings about severe consequences. And the whole situation makes Uhtred question if being a parent is really a great idea.
