Summary
So. Walk with me a moment will you?
"Press Play" is an existing fic AU I have in the works, this is in that same universe with Florist Gustave and Record Store Owner Verso-- I was just struggling to come up with an intro and could only think about them touching each other.
This is that, please enjoy, yelling and/or keyboard smashing highly encouraged. -RamchBookmarked by Piya_79

Summary
A hum left Verso, his eyes flickering downwards to Gustave’s body, observing it. “Well, aren’t you self-sacrificing? Should’ve figured. Seems to be your track record.”
It was a cruel reminder. Gustave flinched.
“No one likes pain.” He repeated again, this time much more quietly.
“Even you?” Verso queried. “You will be subjecting yourself to it. Lots of it.”

Summary
Modern AU - by Gustave’s definition, he is most certainly not a virgin, (frottage to the point of mutual completion back in his high school days) but that definition just isn’t doing it anymore at 32, so he goes to a bar for a hookup just to get rid of all of his fucking nerves about the whole thing, not even expecting it to be a good time.
Cue in Verso, who just goes home with Gustave expecting a quick one night stand - only to once he finds out about how Gustave’s never had real sex before, to show him just how good it can be, over multiple hookups, slowly but surely falling completely for him and stopping his fuck-boi tendencies

Summary
"I'm leaving Paris," Verso says brusquely, by way of a greeting. He has never been very good with words; that has always been Papa's strength, not his.Gustave inhales sharply, watching him in silence, his hands clutching his notebook so hard the spine begins to twist.
"You want me to come with you," he says finally, looking at Verso as though he has entirely lost his mind.
Or:
Time is running out. With war looming over Belle Epoque Paris, Verso must make a choice between his duty to his family and the young Writer who has unknowingly stolen his heart.
He chooses Gustave.
