"“I don’t get it,” Ed said, pulling back just enough to look at Mustang. He couldn’t read his expression through his tears, and that somehow made it worse.
“It doesn’t make sense. What do you want from me?” His voice wavered despite his effort to keep it steady. “I’m a double amputee with a bad attitude. My own dad didn’t want me. Where’s the equivalent exchange?”
He barely had time to breathe before two strong arms wrapped around him, firm and unyielding. Mustang’s voice rumbled against his ear, low and certain.
“Don’t you know, kid? I’m a pirate. We don’t play by alchemists’ rules.” He huffed a quiet, humorless laugh. “When we see something we want, we take it. That’s the exchange.”
His grip tightened just slightly. “You’re my kid. I don’t need you to give me anything else.”Roy Mustang and the crew of the Black Hayate sail from port to port, lending a hand to those in need. Along the way, they meet a kid with big dreams of becoming the world’s greatest alchemist. After Roy saves his life, fate pulls a strange twist of equivalent exchange, leaving him with something he never expected—a son.

When the kings of Greece come to conscript Odysseus for the Trojan War, Penelope of Ithaca knows one thing: she will not lose her husband to war, and she will not let her son be used to take him. In a desperate attempt to save her family, Penelope offers herself to the war effort in Odysseus's place.
Penelope is whisked away to Troy with her army, and a devastated Odysseus is left to raise his infant son alone. Even when the war ends, their trials do not. Penelope faces gods and monsters while Odysseus struggles to rule Ithaca and protect himself and his son from the malevolent suitors seeking his hand.
Essentially, the plot of EPIC, but Penelope and Odysseus's places are switched, and the Ithaca side of the plot is quite a bit darker.

There were many legends about Edward Elric. Some bizarre: like that he was a dragon, veela or squib. That his skin under gloves was covered in scars, feathers or scales.
No one could proof them right, nor wrong.
He was strange. quiet and loud, Genius and imbecile. Untamed. Not afraid of anyone. Nor teachers, students or ghost.
Thou many theories, everyone agreed on one. He was dangerous."I think one student has a crusch on me" Roy Mustang said suddenly.
Snape raised an eyebrow at the Alchemy professor who appeared seemingly out of nowhere five years ago.
"Many have" he said gruffly. "Thou not as many as Lockhart did" added with a dismissive snort. Mustang was not THAT popular
"I am not talking about girls who think I am handsome"; he surely wasn’t humble. – I am talking about a crush-like... obsession." Snape looked at Mustang once again and for once he did not see that fake smile. The alchemy professor was genuinely worried. And only because of that was Snape willing to hear him out
"well? Who is she?" he nodded. Roy Mustang took a deep breath and looked him into the eyes
"Not she. It’s Edward Elric"
