Summary
Murderbot, ART's humans, Three, and ART-drone stage a rescue of a corporate survey team stranded on a hostile planet. But once they’re on the ground, environmental and technical failures quickly start to pile up and the corporates they’re ostensibly there to rescue turn out to be… strange.
While waiting for the rest of the survey party to return to the survey’s habitation, Murderbot’s threat assessment begins to climb. Why aren’t these humans more eager to get out of here? Why didn’t the survey party take any of the SecUnits with them, and why are the SecUnits’ behaviors so non-standard?
Worse, why is Murderbot starting to experience system glitches it can neither explain nor identify a cause for?
Its perception of reality begins to come apart. And then people start disappearing.

Summary
The construct before it was simply better. In every way.
Cornered by what seems to be an undefeatable construct, SecUnit and Mensah must decide what they're willing to sacrifice for the other.If they hurt Mensah, that's on SecUnit. If turning on the governor module and leaving quietly saves her, SecUnit will do that.
If SecUnit is willing to do that, is Dr Mensah willing to let it go without a fight? Not a chance.
