He doesn't know the other dads either. Sure he's cracked a joke or two with Darryl, but he doesn't really know him. And the rest of the dads are all but strangers.
For a while this isn't a problem. Well… for the length of an ill fated car ride this isn't a problem. When the cross-county roadtrip becomes a cross-realms roadtrip it becomes a bit more pressing.
In another Forgotten Realms this is solved slowly through forced cohabitation, a mutual goal, and mutual suffering. In that forgotten Realms Henry Oak dies far from the home that he'd made, in a far too familiar land. He dies on the wrong side of tentacles as is so familiar for that Forgotten Realms.
In this Forgotten Realms the problem of strangers and synchronicity is solved a bit more expediently. The tentacles are still there though.
Or what if Henry had actually died in episode 58 and had been sent back to the moment the dads came through the portal.

“Hello Shane. This is Ilya again, calling about your solar panel quote. Call me back when you are able, the number is—”
Shane pokes the delete button so hard he worries about his phone screen. Every day, this fucking company calls him. Sometimes it’s Elaine or Cyrus, but Shane finds it the most irritating when it’s Ilya. Something about his attitude in his definitely-not-attractive-and-distracting Russian accent makes him sound smug, like he knows he’ll get the sale.
He will never get the sale.
Shane Hollander is never getting solar panels installed. Someone should probably tell Ilya, the solar panel salesman.

"Listen, Mr. Rozanov." The general manager is talking out of the side of his mouth, his cigarette dropping ashes all over the hotel table. "We like you. We want you. We understand you are putting yourself under a fair amount of risk here, meeting with us like this. I hope it's obvious that if you play for us, we will set you up for a good life in Canada."
He pauses, looks Ilya in the eye. "But you have to understand, if you agree to this, you have to be prepared to leave with us right now."
