She grabs a glass from the cabinet, pulling it out and already filling it full of water. Exactly 6 ice cubes. He’d been taught. That she always counted or else it’d be bad luck.
“Katsuki. Stop staring. It’s rude.”
His eyes darted down, but not nearly fast enough. Mitsuki has already slammed the cup onto the marble island, advancing towards him.
“Fucking hag, I haven’t done shit—”
The crack of her hand against his face cuts the sentence in half. It’s quick. Hard. The kind of hit that makes his ears ring louder than her yelling ever could.
Katsuki’s head snaps sideways. The taste of copper blooms instantly along his tongue.
For a second the room tilts.
“Watch your mouth,” Mitsuki spits.

Summary
It all started on a random weekend a few weeks after Katsuki's kidnapping; only when dorm-life brought the class closer together did they begin to discover things about each other. Their likes and dislikes, how they lived and most importantly, their home lives. Most would talk about their homes as something to miss, something to look forward to but some held those words in their throat. It was a taboo subject that even the simple word 'mother' couldn't come out of their mouth.
Katsuki was that person. For the longest time he'd kept it to himself but without even saying a thing, it all began to unfold itself. Like a flower that bloomed under the sun.
