Severus hasn’t seen any of that yet. Harry is extremely polite, neat, and personable. He likes gardening and football. He helps make grocery lists and cook dinner.
He knows there is more: clues that he’s missing and behaviors he’s overlooking, hints that Harry is struggling more that he’s letting on, but overall, Harry seems remarkably well-adjusted. It’s unnerving.
Because Severus knows that Harry spent a significant portion of his childhood confined to a single cupboard under the stairs. He knows that Harry was not fed consistently and did not have clean clothes that fit him. That he was hit.
By all accounts, Harry should be struggling. In the eight years since Severus first met Harry as an infant, his parents died, he was raised in an abusive household, and then forced to live with an estranged family friend he didn’t remember.
It worries Severus that he’s not seeing it, like Harry could be drowning right in front of him and he wouldn’t even know.

But he tries, tries to be what everyone wants from him, it's all too much for a child his age, but he manages somehow, or you could say he managed.
He dealt with the Dursleys before he even knew he was a wizard, they starved him and beat him but it's okay, his first year, he almost got killed by Quirrell, it was okay, second year, basilisk, he had a big scar on his arm but he was still okay, third year, he met Sirius Black, his godfather, faced a horde of dementors, but it was okay, he knows how to cast a patronus, fourth year, things are getting worse for him, the goblet of fire, cedric is dead, voldemort is back, but it's okay, he'll be the hero that everyone needs, in the fifth year everything starts to fall apart, Umbridge and the blood pen, but the worst is in the department of secrets.
Sirius is dead.
Harry's world had collapsed.
He had lost any will to live.And now as he laid his head in the water in the prefects' bathroom with blood pouring from his wrists, he only thought about how he had let everyone down.

Summary
University has been hard on Marinette. Making new friends and maintaining her grades is a lot easier said than done when she has to disappear at odd times to fight akumas. She's struggling, and with Alya away with family and Adrien painfully out of reach, she's never felt lonelier.
If only she could talk to someone who really understood her struggles... but it's not like Chat Noir would know anything about loneliness. Right?
