Summary
The Call of Duty Grand Prix was coming up, and as one of the seasoned motorcycle racers for the 141 Motors company, all Ghost wanted to do was put his head down, train, and give his all for winning the championship. To him, this was just another race. One of many in his well-decorated career.
A few months prior to the start of the grand prix, 141 Motors welcomed a new rider to the team.
John "Soap" MacTavish.
An eager, boisterous Scottish rookie whose eyes showed a fire and burning passion for the sport. He was cocky, competitive, and somehow managed to do everything in his power to drive Ghost up the fucking wall.

Summary
“Ye really think it’s appropriate to make jokes while ‘m bleeding oot my cunt?”
“Pardon me,” Simon says, the mirth in his eyes and that grin tugging at his scarred lips showing he very much does not mean it, “I forgot jokes were for bleedin’ shoulders only.”
Or…
Johnny’s period intrudes on their wedding night. Simon doesn’t mind.

Summary
After Johnny dies, it is discovered that he had a son he never knew about. Simon, as Johnny’s next of kin, is contacted to become a potential temporary guardian of the child when things at home get rocky.
-
“We’ve discovered that John had a son.”
Simon’s hand suddenly solidified around his phone like stone. He gripped the device so tightly that it seemed it would shatter in his palm. The durable plastic of the case made a quiet, dry squeaking noise beneath his fingers, like the sound of leather stretching.
“We understand that this can be a lot to process,” the woman said. She had taken on the same gentle, concerned tone from before.
“We understand,” she repeated.
We understand. The words looped over and over in his mind. They, whoever ‘they’ was even supposed to be, absolutely did not understand.

Summary
A mock interrogation turns into something much uglier when MacTavish realises the detainee is Ghost: his ex, the name still on his next-of-kin paperwork, and the one person he swore he’d never hurt.

Summary
He had never pictured himself settling in Scotland, of all places. Had never really pictured himself properly settled at all. But now that they were looking, together, his opinions had shifted. There was something peaceful about these quiet neighbourhoods. Long gravel driveways and grassy paddocks, bright and green with spring growth. Maybe he could pretend to be an ordinary man in his mid-thirties here.
(That awkward moment when you buy a house with your subordinate/situationship/love of your life)
