The camera tracks Shane and Ilya as they race back up the ice. They cross the finish line in a blur of speed and round on Harris.“I don’t-,” Harris says, “It was so tight. Maybe we call it a draw?”
Ilya throws his arms up. “[Beep], is not a f-[beep]-ing draw, is-”
“Harris, what the [beep]?” Shane shouts, eyes wide. “What do-”
The two of them abruptly fall silent.
“Um, sorry, sorry.” Ilya shrugs.
Shane flushes. “Sorry, yeah, sorry Harris.”
“So I’m guessing,” says Harris, “you want a re-do?”
“Cannot be a tie,” Ilya says at the same time Shane says, “draws aren’t a real thing.”
Harris can’t help it. He bursts out laughing.

Summary
Hockey is mostly made up of canid shifters. It makes sense, especially because team sports appreciate that natural, instinctive pack connection that shifters are capable of having. They also are supposed to have that raw animal edge, that instinct for sport that a normal person might just not have, and besides, the instincts make the game more fun to watch.
That's what makes Ilya Rozanov's supposed shifter-less status so infuriating. But Shane knows him well enough (and has been pressed up against him enough during high emotion, intense, uh, settings), to suspect that he's hiding something. And he shouldn't be -- shifters make more money in the league, and Shane himself is one, is praised for what he is. So his goal, during their time at the cottage, is to prove himself right (or wrong, but he's rarely wrong, c'mon, be so for real).
He gets a bit more than he bargains for, but by god, Ilya's his baby, and his shift wants him for a mate, and he's going to make it happen, come hell or high water.

When a desperate Arthur tells Merlin he’s willing to use magic to save his dying father, Merlin doesn’t hesitate. Unbeknownst to either of them, someone has already taken steps to ensure that Uther dies. When Merlin’s magic fails, any hope of Arthur embracing his gift dies with Uther.
Arthur abandons Merlin despite his pregnancy, and leaves him to rot in one of Camelot’s many towers. But even locked in a cage, Merlin faces constant danger and must find a way to escape his fate.
