After a moment's hesitation, Salim asked, “Your friend, the alpha… he could read my scent? From that distance?”
“Jason’s got a better nose than anybody,” Nick answered as they walked, “Good enough he can even sniff out landmines. We sorta call him ‘Bloodhound’ for it.”
Salim nodded, knowing he'd have to stay away from ‘Jason’ more than anyone. He’d evaded anyone accidentally discovering his omega orientation before, and he wasn’t about to have a hotheaded jarhead ruin his cover now.

Casually saying it’ll simply go dark if I disappear. Asking what would happen if I disappeared in the first place! Attempting to build a new star, treating me like a garbage disposal—!”

All went quiet as the Local Void upon Sol’s realization of his slip up, the sharp lines in his face dropping as he stared at the cloud covered planet gingerly inching his way towards him. “N-nothing,” He hissed, eyes flicking to the side. “Let’s move on.”

As Earth continues his venture to break through to the Sun, the resident star accidentally hints all may not be well with his self perception.
