Summary

He tells her on their wedding night: there will be no more children, there will be no foolishness and childhood fantasy of what lies between them. It was duty that bound them.
For it, she would have wealth, only be expected to help raise the last three of his children, and they could live their separate lives. It is a…strange existence from the life Septas tell girls they will live. But not cruel. There are worse fates to face.

His face darkened. Rhaenyra’s own expression sharpened in answer. The dark-haired man glanced between them with the growing resignation of someone who had already realised he was surrounded by people with absolutely no sense of timing.
“Perhaps,” he began carefully, raising his voice over the thunder, “we might determine responsibility once we have succeeded in not drowning.”

This will be very slow burn and a bit slow moving in plot with lots of politics so the main couples will have to yearn for quite some time :))
