He still needed a place to live and managed to find a run-down place in North Hollywood that needed TLC.
This is a story where Buck builds back his life one step at a time and heals himself.

Just want to check on you. Even after what happened between us, I still want to know how you are doing right now.
Tears started to rain down his cheeks unchecked.
Someone finally asked how he was feeling.
Someone actually cares to check on him.
(Someone who is finally not going to invalidate his feelings and throw his grief to his face as if it doesn’t matter at all.)
With numb fingers, he dialed Tommy’s number and the moment he heard his voice saying his name with a panicked tone, Buck cried.
“Tommy? I don’t think I’m doing okay right now.”
