Grace had an aversion to swearing that Rocky couldn’t understand - which was frustrating since obviously Rocky had wanted to learn every Eridian curse word under the sun after they’d learned to communicate. It was an overall stupid and inconsequential thing, but he was just itching to hear him let loose a squeaky, frustrated fuck.
Rocky added that to his ever growing mental list of things he wanted to do with him: get Gracie off so good he finally said fuck.
Rocky was confident in his abilities to make it happen.
He’d be the best damn lay Grace ever had, actually. Alien species, be damned. Rocky was nothing if not adaptable and teachable; he aimed to please. He’d do whatever necessary to aid his best friend in succumbing to absolute bliss. It was a little ridiculous how fast that had become his new life’s mission.

Lately Rocky has been borderline obsessed with the newscasts from early in the Astrophage crisis. I finally showed him the interview with Dr. Browne when she first got to see the alien cells via direct link from the ArcLight probe onboard microscope; the interviewer - some NASA PR dude - was actually Rocky’s voice donor and it still freaks me out a little to hear this guy speak in Rocky’s voice, because of course for me it’s the other way round. I’ll never know why he showed up in the voice sampler on the laptop, but I’m glad he did, because his voice is perfect for Rocky.
Which brings us to today and my sneaking suspicion that either Rocky or myself or both of us have just gone plain nuts.
Or: another evening with The Clock Bros aboard the Hail Mary on the way to Erid where we learn way more about Grace's private parts than we ever wanted. Or maybe we did. Welcome to the nut house.
