Hummer has always had a deep connection to the sea.
It- They were alive after all. They had their own habits, behaviors, emotions... Voices. And those voices would always call out to him. asking him to jump in. To join them in their songs and ryhthms. He would always dive in. He would let the water fill his lungs, he would let the current pull him deeper. And he'd let the kelp be his grave until respawn.
After all drowning was when he felt the most normal.

Wifies needs results, but he also doesn’t want to put Hummer in danger. But he can’t lie either, can he? As much as Wifies promised never to return to Unstable, he had also made an oath to never utter another lie.
So, that left him little choice.
He just needed to be better this time around.Or
Wifies takes Hummer to Unstable instead, where he reveals everything he’d rather hide.

He always made it a point to eat the players last, in some twisted way he enjoyed them. He didn't care about them, he had to make that clear. But he liked the company they brought. The smiles, the laughter, the questions both brilliant and dumb that would be asked. They were funny little creatures, so trusting. He liked them enough not to immediately pounce.
Verity would keep the facade of helpfulness and a bright attitude, until they started noticing the villagers going missing. Until there was no one left, but them. When they began to question him, when they started to pull away, that was when he’d strike.
He was still waiting for this one to pull away.
Or
A recounting of how Verity and Mob met, and how their relationship forms. Verity is waiting for the moment Mob runs away, waiting to finally feast, only to see that the other... hasn't. And with that, Verity begins to look at him in a new light, which can mean nothing good for Mob.
