Neither Mitsuki nor Akari had a choice but to accept the way things were. At least…that’s what Mitsuki had thought. But then he’d seen Sunfei, someone his own age, face an older much bigger teenager head-on. And he hadn’t even flinched. Mitsuki wanted to have that sort of strength. And he couldn’t do that if he was always following his dad’s control.
“I don’t care,” Mitsuki announced, meeting his sister’s eyes. “I wanna be able to chase off all the boys that harass you, and our brothers when they bully us…and I wanna be strong enough to tell Dad what I really think.”

Summary
The voice, like soft bells ringing in the air, woke Suo from his slumber. A foreign yet oddly familiar face came into view, the young pink-haired boy smiling down at him with a feline curve to his lips and green eyes that seemed far too keen for a stranger. And the other boy – he used Suo’s given name, yet Suo could not recall him at all. The stranger had such a soothing voice too, but something about it made the hair stand up on the back of his neck. Warning bells were ringing, his body and subconscious sending signals of danger, but he had no idea why.

Summary
Kiryu so often sought out the battles he knew Suo would be leading, if only to see him again.
They would fight one-on-one as often as they could. Once friends, now enemies against their own wishes, they couldn’t bring themselves to truly try to harm one another. Rather, they had fun with their fights, flirting and insulting each other all in the same breath. It always felt so light and teasing. It was almost like before, when they’d been able to joke around and just enjoy each other’s company without the weight of war hanging over their heads. For nearly two years, battle after battle, Kiryu looked forward to facing off against Suo — their only chance to talk nowadays, even if Suo rarely spoke of himself.
But Kiryu knew the moment he laid eyes on Suo this time that something had changed.

Summary
Storms used to seem peaceful, even comforting. Back in Bankoku-Gai, a heavy storm like this meant little to no people out in the city causing trouble. It meant Suo and his makeshift family could stay indoors and relax together.
But now…Suo was no longer back in his home town, surrounded by others. He was alone now, with no siblings to keep him company. The sounds of the storm outside were far more overwhelming with the lack of noise indoors. It was so very loud yet also so very quiet, and it was a new level of loneliness he was entirely unused to.
___Suo feels lonely during a storm, and thankfully one of his friends pops in for a visit.
