The claws of an anxious, afraid animal clutched and grasped at his insides, desperate to escape. Even after all these years, fragments of that house in Arizona still found a way to flood back.

David knows that Michael is touch starved. He can see it in the way his boy intently tracks the interactions he has with the guys, the comfortable exchange of physical touch between them. It’s easy for them, casual. Automatic. And Michael always watches.
David also knows the damage touch has done to his boy. He knows Michael learned too early and too often the many ways touch could hurt, could shock, could frighten, could bruise, could damage. Michael’s father taught him to fear the touch of others—particularly the touch of men—but still Michael craves it, desperate for affection and validation and reassurance . . . and he’s never learned how to ask for it. How to seek it out. How to initiate it.
The good news is, David also knows how to help. And the boys might help, too.
No smut, believe it or not, but smut-adjacent.
