From behind the pair, someone cries out in shock. Glancing over his shoulder, Collie sees its Hank Olson, hobbling along with his head low and baseball cap pulled low over his face. His eyes are comically wide with surprise.
“I thought it was a ninety day programme,” Hank says, “The Major said it’s a ninety day programme.”
There’s desperation in his voice, the kind Collie has heard from plenty of the campers.
