Summary
Unkind and ever familiar, that anger Lola had triggered earlier returned with sharp teeth and without mercy. He would rip his time from their hands by force, like he’d been doing every day since he was born. Lola was clever as the devil, but Neil had been raised through the loopholes.
She couldn’t hurt his Foxes if she was dead.
Or
Neil is much more dangerous than anyone gives him credit for.

Summary
Neil looked startled at first, no doubt having heard about Andrew’s stand-offish reputation by now from the other patients, though he quickly smoothed away the look with a smile. It was a fake one, the eyes not quite committing and the lips overlong. Andrew found it hard to look away anyway.

Summary
Teen Neil and teen Andrew meet in a psychiatric ward.
Neil’s mom died at the beach after an encounter with Neil's father's men. Neil's own wounds were more severe than he had thought. He passed out in a motel and the owner called child services on him. They found him just in time and called an ambulance. After a few weeks in the hospital, they decided a stay at the psychiatric ward would be best for him.
Andrew was staying with Cass and Richard. He had accepted that he had to deal with Drake if he wanted to stay with Cass. He found his own way to cope with it. Usually he hid it well enough; no one but Drake knew about it, the armbands covered the evidence. But one day, Cass saw and signed him up for an eight week long stay at a psychiatric ward.
This has an open ending so you've been warned! :D

Summary
Neil has always been good at following instructions. Speak when spoken to. Move when told. Look into the camera. Smile. Beg. He learned young that obedience meant survival. That the right words in the right tone could mean food, warmth, another day alive.
But the cameras are gone now. The doors still lock, the ghosts still whisper, and Neil is still performing—just in a different way. A patient instead of a product.
Then there’s Andrew. A locked room with no key. A sharp thing dulled by medication. A boy with too many secrets and too little interest in anything beyond his own survival. He watches Neil like he’s a puzzle not worth solving, but when Neil starts slipping, it’s Andrew who keeps pulling him back.
Neil doesn’t believe in fate. But the past has teeth, and it never lets go. And the more Neil fights it, the more he realizes—his story and Andrew’s may have already crossed long before this place. Secrets don’t stay buried forever. Not when they were built on blood
