Summary
Will Graham jumps in front of the bullet to save none other than Hannibal Lecter - the person who broke him down into tiny million pieces. It wouldn't be so unbelievable for Will to try and protect someone but he, almost unconsciously, spilled his own blood to save the man who betrayed him in the cruelest of ways.
Maybe his all consuming need to protect others worked against him this time, or maybe Will actually loved Hannibal too much to let him die by such a simple and boring death. Or he actually wanted to kill Hannibal himself? He is not even sure anymore.
One day he'll be able to answer that question, but for now he needs to survive. Again.

"I apologize for the confusion. The constructs who staff certain positions here are good at their jobs, but sometimes there's no replacement for a human touch." The corners of his eyes crinkled slightly as his smile broadened, the faint feathering lines the only sign that time had touched him. "My name is Tom. I'll be your spa attendant and your masseuse. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Potter."
