Summary
Yumeko stepped forward, not enough to crowd, but enough that the scent in the air shifted—sweet, rich, alpha-pulled tension. “Jealous?”
Kira didn’t flinch.
Didn’t blink.
But something behind her eyes flickered.“Delusional,” she said, voice low and razor-clean.
“Mm.” Yumeko tilted her head. “So no part of you imagined what that would feel like if it were you?”
There was silence.
Long. Thick. Sharpened by implication.
Even Suki was holding his breath now.Kira exhaled once, through her nose, like she was resetting. Her gaze dropped briefly—to Yumeko’s mouth, to the space between them, to something she couldn’t name—and then snapped back up.
Her voice, when she spoke, was calm. Clinical.
“Tell your puppy to stay out of my path. And you—” her eyes narrowed, cool as polished jade “—should be careful where you aim your scent. You might attract something you can’t handle.”
Yumeko’s smile widened, slow and satisfied. “I’m counting on it.”

Summary
Natalie Scatorccio is a simple woman. She enjoys hook ups the same way she plays soccer — hard, fast, and rough. Once the game is over though, that's it. No getting attached, no drama, no problem.
The rendezvous with Lottie Matthews, some random girl recruited by Jackie to join the Yellowjackets, their silly little intramural soccer team, was supposed to be the same, just for fun. But let's be real: Natalie has never played soccer for fun. She plays to win, or at the very least, she plays to not lose.
Or
Lottie Matthews turns Natalie’s world upside down and makes her consider (gag) the L word.

Summary
“You’re inviting me to a frat party?” Nat takes a step back — Lottie definitely screwed this up. Whatever semblance of an acquaintanceship they once had, it’s probably over now.
“Yeah, sure.” Lottie shrugs. “It’ll be fun.”
But she knows that she’s lying. For Nat, the party won’t be fun at all. She’ll hate everything about it, and that’s assuming she even shows up, which won’t happen because like Lottie told Van, Nat has way better things she could be doing.
Nat laughs a dry, snarky laugh. “Okay, I’ll consider it.”
Lottie’s heart skips a beat. “You’ll what?”
“Do you want me to come to your party?”
OR: Lottie Matthews is the biggest player in her fraternity and Natalie Scatorccio is her drug dealer. She was never supposed to like her as much as she does.

Summary
“Oh, fine.” Natalie replied. “A little warm for fur, isn’t it?”
“It’s faux. Don’t get any ideas about red paint.”
“Hm. Okay.” Natalie nodded, then sucked in a breath. “So, you’re a lesbian, though?”
Lottie straightened and shut the fridge door, then turned back to Natalie. She had a bottle of water in her hand. “Don’t be reductive, Nat, I could be bisexual.”
“…are you bisexual?”
Lottie looked at her like she was stupid. “No, I’m a lesbian.”

Or,A year after moving in with Lottie, Natalie makes a discovery about her roommate that sets off a chain reaction of catastrophic proportions.
