A flash of hurt crossed his twin’s face, and Donnie swallowed hard against the guilt. Whatever. It didn’t matter. Once they broke this thing, Donnie could fix that—
“Gee,” Leo muttered, half-smirking in a clear attempt to save face, “tell me what you really think.”
It was a statement that was clearly not meant to actually be directed at Donnie. It was not genuinely meant to elicit a response. And yet, words bubbled up in Donnie’s throat, and no matter how much he grit his teeth and clenched his jaw, he said them anyway. “I don’t like you,” he blurted out, digging his nails into the palm of his hand.

Or, Donnie gets hit with a compulsory lying spell. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal until it really, really is.

Summary
Leo catches Donnie staring at him – and Donnie's face is not a perfect mask, displaying only what he intends. If only a fraction of the confusing Emotions that are running rampant in him show, that would be more than enough to explain the way Leo's brow creases. The way the mask slips immediately and reveals just how exhausted Leo is. Donnie knows he is not imagining the slight tremor in Leo's hand as he splays it open, then taps his chest with his thumb a few times. I'm fine.
Forefinger tap to chin, then O. Tello.
Donnie scowls at him, swiping the flat of his hand under his chin with emphasis; LIAR.
/Donnie and Leo get whammied by a curse and then act as stupid as possible about the entire ordeal.

Summary
Lip tells the plan to Ian, who tells Debbie and Carl, who tell Kev and V. They all manage to scrounge together the money, through tutoring or babysitting or stealing lunch money from kids at school—Lip decides to let Carl’s misbehavior slide this once, since it’s for a good cause—and keep it on the down-low from both Fiona and Frank, who, miraculously, remain oblivious to their subterfuge. They store the cash in Debbie’s little jar under her bed so Frank doesn’t swipe it.
And on Friday after school, they all meet up to make the purchase together.
Or: The kids learn that Fiona never learned how to ride a bicycle. They take it upon themselves to teach her.
