Summary
Steve’s visions might be disjointed, confusing, and generally a pain in the ass, but they did help him save Barb Holland. So when he has a new vision - one that shows Bob Newby's death - he knows he can’t ignore it.
Unfortunately, whatever’s creeping back into Hawkins isn’t waiting around for Steve to figure things out. The Upside Down is spreading, something is very wrong with both Will and Barb, and the demogorgons are definitely not done with them yet.
Now, Steve and his growing group of friends have to try to stop it before things get even worse. Which would be easier if Steve wasn’t also freaking out about the fact that he probably likes boys, and he definitely likes Eddie Munson.
Barb, meanwhile, is having plenty issues of her own, like terrifying hallucinations of the Upside Down, and even worse – an unrequited crush on her best friend.

Summary
In the Spring of 1983 Steve Harrington starts to see the future -- kind of. He glimpses moments from another life in flashes and fragments. The first of those vision is the death of Barbara Holland. When Steve sets out to save her, he has no idea how much his world will change in the process.
Attempting to save Barb pulls Steve into friendships he never would have expected, he meets a gaggle of middle schoolers ahead of schedule, and before long, everyone is facing Hawkins' bizarre threats together.
And then there's Eddie Munson. Steve isn’t sure why Eddie keeps appearing in his glimpses of an unknown future. He’s even less sure why he can’t seem to stop thinking about the guy in the present. But dragging Eddie into the orbit of Steve’s increasingly strange collection of friends means Steve gets plenty of opportunities to figure it out.
With every alteration Steve makes, Hawkins changes with it. But the monsters keep coming, and as the timeline shifts, the future becomes harder to predict. And Steve finds, too, that changing the future is not without its consequences.

Summary

A nail-studded bat and flashing lights. Children’s high, bickering voices. Lapping blue water, chlorine, and guilt. Moments from a life he hasn’t lived crash into him without warning.
Steve might be losing his mind, but he's certain of one thing: Barbara Holland is going to die. Before the year is out, someone – or something – is going to murder her. So he does the only logical thing – he attempts to befriend her. It's easier to save someone if you're standing next to them, right?
Setting out to save Barb is supposed to make things make sense.
Instead, it causes Steve to question everything he thought he knew. The visions keep coming. And the more Steve tries to fix things, the more uncertain the world around him becomes. Especially when it comes to Eddie Munson – someone who Steve shouldn't have any reason to care about. But no matter what Steve does, every path seems to lead him back to Eddie.

Summary
There’s a fire beneath the water that pricked at her eyes. Her nails ground against the floor as her stomach cramped. Her back curled upwards as her head filled with fog. She couldn’t focus on it, not when her left hand still tightly held onto her temporarily deceased guardian.
Her head tilts up meeting Matt’s worried gaze, “Elena. Your eyes.”
“What?” she almost growls, her mind still numb as her insides knotted themselves together.
”They’re…” Matt hesitates as he stands back up from his squat position, “They’re yellow.”
