Summary
Dick knew the Order on him was signed within the first 24 hours he had been taken in by the State. It was routine practice. Good for the state budget. Caring for kids until they are 16 is a lot cheaper than caring for them until they are 18, and it also decreases crime rates.
He remembered thinking about that Order while he sat in a Juvie cell, knowing that there was a piece of paper that said he could be Unwound at sixteen as ordered by the Free State of New Jersey. When he was eight, it had seemed like an eternity of time.
Now, though, he is fifteen years and three hundred and sixty-three days old.

Summary
Bruce Wayne was a liar. That much, he had figured out all too soon when he showed up at the breakfast table with bruises that were not there the night before. He could add all the concealer and powder to himself that he liked but it wouldn't fool him. Jason had seen a lot in Crime Alley and in his own home to recognize when someone was hiding an injury.
Except, Bruce Wayne wasn't from Crime Alley.
The only reason Jason could think of why a rich man would be injured during the night would be if he was a habitual creep. Jason was terrified of the thought. He'd spent all those months hidden away from the group home so that he could escape trafficking only to end up in a cavernous manor with one of the possible clientele. He had to escape. He was going to, but there was only one problem.
The extra bowl that was left untouched at the table each meal.

Jason Todd joins the Batfamily early, assumes that Bruce and Alfred are holding Richard Grayson against his will, and plans an escape for the two of them.
