Summary
When Xie Lian returns to Ghost City to clean up a mess he left behind years ago, he's hoping to get in and out before the dreaded city master discovers him. Of course, his luck means he's staying far longer than anticipated, though at least he's made a newfound friend in San Lang. For his own part, Hua Cheng has been hunting the dreaded Demon Fangxin for the past 200 years—surely when he finally slays the monster who destroyed the kingdom he hails from, his lost memories will finally return. Right?
But when a fateful clash reveals their true identities to each other and springs an unlooked-for bond on them, Xie Lian and Hua Cheng will have to reconcile their differences and work together to find out who is behind the troubling rise in monsters and curses—as well as what lies in the darkness of their shared past.

Is his only tenant a kind benefactor? Or is there an ulterior motive?
