Summary
Timothy Drake had always been expected to act older than his age, more independent than he should’ve been. This was something he had learned far before he had become Robin.
He had worn a mask far before the white-out lenses of a domino mask had ever touched his cheeks.And so, when Jason died, when Dick refused to return to his position as Robin, the conclusion was natural. Batman needed a Robin.

Summary

Summary
Tim didn't want to agree to Dick and Jason's plan to take Batman down. And yet, Tim is willing to trust Dick's judgement and help with whatever Dick needs to feel safe.
At least, he was willing. But now, trapped in a rooftop confrontation with Batman while his brothers contact Clark, Tim is forced to make a difficult decision.

Summary
Batman has gone too far. He's hurt Jason. He's hurt Tim. (He's hurt Dick too, but that doesn't really matter.) It's Dick's responsibility to stop him, but he can't do it alone. And so, Dick and Jason go to Clark to ask the Justice League for help.
But even though Dick put up a strong front to reassure Jason, he's more unsure of himself than ever.

“I swear to God,” Tim said, climbing through the window and landing gracefully into the living room, “how much money do I have to pay you to rest and wait and not cook at the ungodly hour of two in the morning?”
He removed his mask and unfastened his cape and utility belt, ignoring the way his stomach grumbled right after he uttered those words out loud. From the kitchen his boyfriend laughed, cutting through the loud sizzling of the pan. “Welcome back. And for the 30th time, no amount of money will ever stop me from cooking for you. Besides, I like working in the kitchen at any hour, except when I need to be held back in school. In that case, getting a batburger is completely acceptable.”
Tim sighed, tossing his shoes on the rack near the door and trudging into the kitchen. Bernard smiled at him, flipping over what looked like chicken with the metal tongs, the smell making his mouth almost water. Considering the last thing he ate was a salad he haphazardly threw together with pumpkin seeds to give it a crunch and a boiled egg right before patrol–which had been roughly five hours ago–no wonder he felt like he could float to heaven right about now.

Summary
Dick and Jason collect Tim to tell him about the Batarang Incident and some of Dick's arguments with Bruce. They were expecting...disbelief, sure. Anger, certainly. Maybe even fear. But not...this.
Tim is confused. Sure, the situation's a bit messed up, and clearly Tim's failed to keep Batman in control, but he doesn't know why Jason and Dick are freaking out.
