It's been three months since Ana woke up half frozen to death outside of Haven. Now safe (ish) behind the walls of Skyhold, she is faced with the impossible: try to get home on her own, tell someone and risk revealing who she is and where she's from, or blowing the cover clean off a certain elven apostate, to try to prevent the catastrophic events to come.

Must read if youre thirsty for Gale and MGiBG! MG MC is not Tav, no parasite. Chapters are deliciously long. There's only 8 so far, but thats about ~16hrs or reading depend on your pace or the pace of your screen reader (estimated by my own screen reader at the pace i listen at). The pacing is very well done too! Things dont happen too fast or too slow in my estimations. Especially since I like to have a slower pace to my reads typically. I would also say characterization is pretty on point and the other side OC's are fun too!
As of 1-3-24 ive read up to chapter 8.

With their lives saved from the Absolute's thrall and the end of the world narrowly avoided, its finally time to retire and live happily ever after, Mystra willing. Mystra willing... Right?

Summary
Echo has lived her life tucked away in the forests of Tethir, learning magic through the pulse of nature and the songs of creation. She's good with magic, but not people, which isn't really a problem until she's scooped up by mind flayers and has to get along with six strangers lest they all share a tentacle-y doom. And she manages to get along with most of them -- but then there's Gale of Waterdeep. Despite a terrible first impression, she finds he is actually much kinder than all the mansplaining would suggest.
This is a series of relationship scenes about my weird little mushroom hermit, a wizard who shows compassion and arrogance really can coexist, and how academic rivalry is like first base for wizards.
