Summary
Ilya’s lips purse, and he gets that look on his face that means he’s about to say something terrible.
“You are waiting for me to give you chocolate?” he asks, one of his eyebrows even more arched than usual. There it is.

In which the Boston Raiders are playing the Montreal Metros on February 15th, and it's totally normal for Shane to spend Valentine's Day with his very casual situationship.

Summary
Scott will swear ’til his dying day that this had not been his plan— that it hadn’t even been in his mind— when he sat down at Hollander’s table to apologize, but the second he starts piecing together the sordid image of Rozanov and Hollander— the quiet gay kid and the wild playboy who would fuck anything, including, apparently, his rival, both at the top of the world and the top of their game, Hollander just another notch in Rozanov’s bedpost— the more he feels like this was meant to be.
Or: Everyone knows the Olympics are for hooking up with people you otherwise wouldn't. It always comes back to compatibility, though.

Summary
They flew separately to Bangkok, from Boston and from Montreal. Ilya landed first and had a driver waiting for Shane in the airport. Black suit, a sign with big black letters: HOLLANDER.
What the fuck, Shane texted from the backseat of the limousine service. This was a bad idea.

Summary
Should he grieve Boston? Probably. Loyalty was important, thank you very much, Yuna Hollander — but perhaps that wasn’t what this situation was. Boston felt like a stopping point for Ilya. Neutral ground, his saving grace, fresh off the plane from Moscow, finally separated from his family by an ocean they couldn’t afford to cross, not without his help. He was grateful to the city, to the Raiders and their fans, truly, deeply, but he owed them nothing.
He owed Shane Hollander everything and more.
(Or, Ilya at the cottage, and his final year in Boston.)
