Summary
Dean Winchester: native of Chelsea, MA, ex-Navy Seal sniper, freelance assassin. Known as The Hunter, he works with a small group of other freelance criminals in the Network, where they can share resources, vet clients, and choose targets with confidence. He never takes a job if the target doesn’t deserve their fate and he draws hard lines at assassinating people in front of their families. And he’s got a massive bone to pick with Alistair Sorokin.
Castiel may be an important figure within the Russian mafia, running their gambling and prostitution rackets, but he dislikes the way the Pahkan, the boss, runs the family. Alistair is far too violent and Castiel believes it's bad for business. Though he detests unnecessary bloodshed, it's an easy decision for him to hire The Hunter to help him dispose of Alistair and take over the ruling seat to restore order and eliminate the unnecessary tensions and violence between the Russians, the Irish, and the Italians.

A few beats of silence pass—nothing out of the ordinary, at this point.
“...Is this what’s happening?” Sam asks gently, implementing that tone of voice that always seems to remind Dean with a heart clenched in nostalgia that his brother is not a little boy anymore, but rather is now a grown man with an impressive emotional maturity.
(TLDR: Dean Winchester and selective mutism: told throughout different stages of his life now that it has come back in full-force yet again after losing Cas to the Empty. Angst, hurt/comfort, and most importantly: happy ending.)

There’s three things Dean is absolutely sure of. One: Getting shot in a back-alley because some asshole doesn’t know how to pick a lock is a shitty way to die. Two: If his impromptu kidnappers — or the mother of all headaches — don’t kill him first, Sammy definitely will. And three: Whatever pretentious douchebag calls itself Lucifer is someone he definitely doesn’t want to meet. Not that he seems to have much of a choice.
Dean knew he shouldn’t have gotten out of bed today. Mondays never hurt anyone, his ass.
Or: Nineteen year old college drop-out Dean Winchester has a lot of problems. None of which involve the Archangels — rumored heads of the most infamous gang in the city — until they make themselves Dean’s problem.

Sam opens one eye and clenches it shut again at the light, but it's enough to see dark brown hair and ice blue eyes. Sam swallows. "Loud," he rasps. "Bright."
"I don't..." Cas pauses for a moment. "I'm loud?" he asks.
Sam nods.
"I am speaking at a very reasonable volume." Cas sighs, but then lowers his voice to a whisper. "I can heal you, if you'll allow me to come closer."
In other words... After that last scene with Sam in 11x06, Castiel discovers the younger Winchester, panicked and confused from his visions. Sam shares what's been happening to him lately and what he went through while Cas was away. Needless to say, please don't read this if you don't want spoilers for the events of the episode.

Sam’s sweet. That’s the only way she can describe him. He’s earnest in such a genuine, authentic way that it almost knocks her off her feet. He looks at her, eyes glimmering with adoration, and she can’t help but melt under his gaze. He’s romantic in his own bumbling, inexperienced way, cautious and tentative in his usual timid way but he’s also bright grins and surprise snacks when she’s too deep into studying and gentle kisses to her neck while they’re cuddling in bed.
He’s sweet and he’s caring and he’s thoughtful and he’s unbelievable. Like, sometimes she can’t even believe he’s real.
