Summary
Ortho assembles an unlikely cast of players to play Dungeons and Dragons. He develops a campaign to be played in the deeply immersive virtual reality simulator, Verdie, but something goes wrong! Riddle, Idia, Lilia, and Azul all find themselves trapped in the game, and must finish the campaign that Ortho made for them to get out. And to make matters worse, they’re all playing classes that go directly against their personalities!

Kalim finally opens up his hand, dangling the item from his thumb and index finger. Ruggie watches his fingers unfurl, tracing the shape of the object with his eyes. A few seconds later, his mind catches up, and he instantly recognizes what Kalim brought with him.
A shoddy bracelet made of mismatched materials, made in the likeness of a flower crown. Months ago during the fairy gala fiasco, Ruggie had taught Kalim how to make flower crowns himself, and the memory of Kalim being so awestruck over his creation got stuck in his head to the point it was invading his every thought.
Kalim has riches to fill a room, trinkets and baubles from ancient eras with pricetags that could fetch a fortune just from looking at them. And even though Kalim cares not for monetary value, he has other friends and likely other gifts from them too. Yet still, he brought Ruggie’s little bracelet, held from his fingers with a kind of reverence and love Ruggie craves like nothing else.
