What if Henry hadn't interrupted Emma and Regina having a drink, or ten?

Summary
The rain in Storybrooke has a habit of changing things.
When a sudden autumn downpour traps Regina and Emma inside Granny’s Diner after hours, a tentative truce over a "structurally unstable" cup of hot chocolate melts away years of built-up armor. What starts as an offer of simple late-night company quickly transforms into an entire weekend of shared warmth, kitchen-island pancakes, and a chaotic town festival disaster courtesy of a forklift-driving dwarf.
But when Henry returns home from a sleepover to find his mothers walking entirely too close and sharing a favorite green scarf, the ultimate intelligence operation is finally compromised. Left to navigate a paradigm-shifting conversation about identity, prisms of light, and what it truly means to be queer, Emma and Regina must finally figure out how to merge their past adversaries into a shared domestic future.
As it turns out, the official Operation Cobra manual has a very specific rule about the Savior falling for the Evil Queen: it’s a structural necessity.

Summary
“Besides,” Regina says, looking from her son, 400 miles away, to his other mother sitting beside her on the couch in the study, “I’ve already gotten us a room.”
“You have?”
“Oh, good!” Henry looks relieved. “I mean, the email about graduation stuff said finding rooms can be tricky. So, that’s good, Mom.” He beams at them both.
“Wait. A room? As in, singular?” Emma questions.
“Well,” Regina frowns, “yes. It was really all they had left, and I wanted to stay at the Charles since it’s right there in Cambridge and close to campus.”
“That’s great, mom!” Henry repeats, but Emma is still staring at the woman sitting next to her.
“So, like,” she licks her lips. “We’re going to be … roommates?”
Regina glares at her, but then sighs when Henry laughs from the screen. “Yes, Miss Swan,” she agrees finally. “Roommates. For two nights only. Do you think you can handle that?”

Summary
I wanted to explore some of the moments between when Regina adopted Henry, and when he went off to find Emma in Boston. I am just looking at snippets of time (500 words each, and a chapter per year). Mostly happy moments. Some were referenced in the show and I expanded on them.
I love Regina as a mother. Henry really sucked in the beginning of the show, but their relationship was one of my favorites.

Summary
“Did you and mom use to date?”
In all honesty, he has no idea where the question came from, why he’s asking it now without any preamble. But it’s out and he peels his eyes away from his ice cream to check Mayor Mills’ reaction. Which is wide-eyes and shellshock and hands tightening around the purse in her lap. And damn, if he isn’t curious now.
*
Henry grows suspicious of why he looks so much like Mayor Mills and why everyone keeps telling him that his father is a man who resembles him so little. While he investigates the true origins of his birth, Emma and Regina grow closer in the background over stolen hearts and vengeful sisters and Henry might get more in the end than he bargained for.
