He clung desperately to Valjean’s shoulders, and Valjean chuckled. “That always works on you.”
“I suppose you have learned to press my buttons,” Javert breathed hungrily, and with great effort he pulled away from Valjean. “I think I must press some of your own.”
And without another word, Javert sunk down onto his knees.
