Summary
The weight of the man on top of Nicolò had pressed him further into the unrelenting ground, dirt and stone dug into his back as he cried out in pain. His wounds had already begun the process of trying to stitch themselves back together, but the saif still in his stomach hindered the ability from completion. The warmth of his body slowly seeped out from the cut flesh, and as the blood pooled beneath his tunic, his hands trembled against the patterned fabric above him.
The soldier who struck him with the fatal blow, stared down at him with dark, glistening eyes and let out a mournful sound, “Found you."
(Or. A slight canon divergence detour where I wondered, "What if they were already immortal when they met?")

Summary
The famous Italian short story 'La Realtà di Tutto' is the tragic tale of two men who fall in love in the rolling hills of Calabria and are then separated by forces beyond their control. Nicolo di Genova- one of the few openly gay actors in cinema - has spent years trying to adapt it into a film, and he has assembled the best in the business to help him shepherd the film to success. There's only one thing missing just weeks from day one of shooting: the other leading man.
When Joseph Al-Kaysani - a moderately successful comedian - is cast in what Variety calls, 'the most hotly anticipated film on Netflix's docket,' and what industry insiders call, 'that gay mafia movie,' it's a complete surprise. Joseph is best known for his unflinchingly honest storytelling style, but there's one thing he's never shared with his audience or his family - he is gay.
But Joe isn't the only one with secrets.

Summary
Joe lifts his legs and immediately feels himself begin to topple, but Nicky’s hands on his hips hold him steady.
“Trust me to hold your weight,” Nicky says, and it’s weirdly one of the hottest things anyone’s ever said to Joe, since at six foot and one hundred and eighty pounds, he’s usually the one doing the weight holding in any kind of configuration. “Press your legs up.”
Joe does. With Nicky’s help, he manages to get himself into a very shaky headstand.
One hand still resting lightly on Joe’s hip, Nicky slides the other between Joe’s legs, and Joe nearly falls out of the pose.
“Squeeze my hand with your thighs,” Nicky says, apparently oblivious to the way he’s just given Joe a stroke.
(Or: Nicky is a yoga teacher. Joe has a crush.)
