Before his brain could fully engage and remind his body that he loved life and living and being able to breathe, his hand had shot out to strike Mobei Jun across the shoulder in return.
Shang Qinghua stared down at his own fist in horror. Something was really wrong with him.
Something was about to be even more wrong with him from the look on Mobei Jun’s face. The ice demon stared at him in wide-eyed disbelief, eyes animated by a terrifying light that clearly foretold Shang Qinghua’s brutal and imminent murder.
Shang Qinghua threw up his hands, ready and eager to sink to his knees and beg for his life. “Dawang, I—”
“Finally,” Mobei Jun growled, his eyes ablaze and a little manic and very, very blue.
