Alec immediately regrets the instinctive shift of his feathers, knowing how many Downworld throats have been slit open on nephilim wings, knowing how many times Magnus and his council must have seen that happen. But what’s done is done and moving them back would do nothing. Alec comes to a halt at a respectful distance from the High Warlock and waits. Summary

All Will Graham has known since outbreak is how to be on his own, his mother having died on outbreak day, his father fighting for their home in Florida. It was too long ago they’d lost contact.
Everything had happened within days, he knew he’d be safe in his home, that his farm in Wolf Trap would be so far away and too remote for a hoard to target. All he’d had was his pack, and that was fine, - really it was.
And then, food started to run more and more scarce, infected became more and more daring. And eating veal, deer or other wildlife started to get risky as the virus evolved further. The transition to cannibalism hadn’t been as difficult as he thought, but what does make it difficult is during this year’s spring his first hunt is interrupted, better yet, completely fucking ruined.
