Summary
It's been a year since Kreacher nearly died in the cave by the sea and Regulus left the Death Eaters. Now he's in hiding with Severus' help, and he thinks he knows how to take out the Dark Lord for good.
Meanwhile, Severus finds himself wondering just how this little idiot survived for so long on his own, and why he was sorted into the House of the cunning when he's obviously as dumb as a lion.

Summary
When Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy are imprisoned, Severus Snape finds himself burdened with guardianship of their six-year-old son and, by Dumbledore’s cryptic orders, one very small and very unwanted Harry Potter. With his quiet home on Spinner’s End turned into a chaotic refuge, Snape must juggle his teaching duties, his temper, and two traumatized children who refuse to stay out of trouble. But as he and an unexpectedly gentle Remus Lupin struggle to bring stability to the boys, Snape begins to suspect that Dumbledore is hiding something far darker about Harry’s past and that the truth may shatter what little peace they’ve built.
