Summary
Winterfell balances on the edge of a brutal winter, still caught in the aftermath of its own bitter power struggle, when the Greens seize the Iron Throne.
Jace, in search of the North's allegiance, doesn't expect to find himself swallowed by rigorous winter preparations, hostile northern politics and strange dreams he cannot remember. He longs for Vermax, isolated in the Wolfswood, and misses Dragonstone. Yet, the more time he spends with the inscrutable Lord Stark, the closer home feels. And the less Jace wants to leave.
Cregan is already fighting on two fronts: safely guiding his people through the upcoming winter while dealing with the lingering support for his treasonous uncle.
