Summary
Using the hand he has over Lohen's eyes, Flins gently but inexorably pulls Lohen's head back, forcing that swanlike throat into a pretty arch until the tangled hair at the base of his skull is pressed against Flins' shoulder. Any further, any harder, and Flins could snap that slender neck like a wishbone.
Instead, Flins merely nudges his nose against the curve of Lohen's ear. "If I wanted to kill you," he murmurs tenderly, "you would already be dead, κόνικλιον."
In the aftermath of Nod-Krai's crises with the Doctor and the Rächer of Solnari, Lohen tries to cope. Unfortunately for the people who care about him, his way of "coping" is going to get him killed, and he refuses to listen to reason.
Nurturing a mutual, growing affection for Lohen, Flins and Illuga decide that if words are inadequate, action is required. If what Lohen needs is a firm hand to force his submission, Flins and Illuga will provide it. Whether Lohen asked them to or not.
