Summary
Jedi Knight Solen Veyr has a habit of weaving flower chains after battles, insisting his clones deserve “something living” to remind them of more than war. His squad teases him for it, but they keep the flowers anyway, tucked into bunks and belts like talismans.
When Order 66 falls, the flower chains still hang from their armor as they raise their rifles against him. Solen knows it isn’t really them—their laughter, their warmth, their humanity buried under programming they cannot fight. Even as he falls, he forgives them.
Years later, when the inhibitor chip burns out, Jax remembers everything: the campfires, the stories, the wildflowers—and the Jedi who never stopped believing they were more than soldiers.

Summary
So I always had the Idea that even though it may have been fated that Achilles had to die but Apollo shooting him was not to be cruel but rather a mercy because he is the one who's name is synonymous the tragedy of love and loss, he understands the grief that comes with losing you love and the wish to join them. He shoots Achilles because that's a mercy he wishes he was able to receive.
This is from the POV of an outsider who also understands this to some extent.

Skipping his fingers greedily along the chain, Ilya hurries to put it on, fumbling with the strange clasp until he hears a satisfying click of it locking in place. The weight is more than he’s used to, sits heavy on his skin where the previous one had danced and moved with him.
It could feel cloying, choking; instead, it offers reassurance.

His chest heaves with another sob, and Ilya darts into the bathroom; he needs a mirror, he needs to see-
