It's a normal day in the True Narnia equivalent of Cair Paravel.
The sun is shining, the waves are softly caressing the sandy shores of the coast, the non-talking birds merrily flying with the wind...
And well, of course Susan is panicking at the idea of being useless and Edmund is actively trying to hide the love letters that everybody knows he receives, but the castle is being cleaned up and there are laughs and songs in the air.And Peter screaming, too. Or that might be his ten-months old niece, difficult to say.
King Rilian is coming back from his travels to the West, and everything is going as smoothly as it can go when the Pevensie are involved.
Which means not a lot.Caspian almost wishes his son could stay away a little longer.

In the winter of 1953, leaning over her newborn daughter's crib, Susan Mason, formerly Pevensie, tries to hold back her tears. She thinks of happier times, when there was laugh in the air and a crown on her head, and with all that she is, all the soul that 1949 has left her with, she wishes that she could give even a fraction of that bliss to the tiny babe sleeping right here. Maybe it's the nostalgia, or the date, or the fact that she hears the door of their tiny apartment open, but for the first time in twelve years she says it. She says it with hope, hope for a better life. She says it like it can actually resolve everything, a mantra.

Or what could happen if Susan found her faith in Aslan again and ended up in True Narnia a bit later than her siblings, with a baby daughter and years of trauma ready to be healed.
feat. Caspian who totally hasn't been waiting for her since her siblings came crashing in Cair Paravel, Peter who can't quite accept that she's older than him now -and seriously is that a cHiLd ?, Lucy being the voice of reason while taking strangely well to the whole being dead thing and Edmund struggling with a lot of PTSD but still being a wonderfully mischevious younger brother.Also, Rilian is here.
Just doing semi-star and former king business while struggling with an inferiority complex, no big deal. Unless you count his massive crush on a certain dark-haired swordsman who has no idea that heterosexuality is actually nothing more than an option.Oh, well, Aslan is here to supervise things, they'll manage.
