Akaashi likes to consider himself a composed, rational human being. He can keep his hands and eyes to himself. He can control his hormonal, teenage impulses just fine. He even manages to keep the PDA to a minimum, even though his very attractive and very cuddly boyfriend makes it difficult. Akaashi makes a point to keep focused during practices and games. Summary
Here they were dancing a dangerous tango and crossing lines and blurring boundaries that neither Fukuzawa nor Mori would take kindly to. Dazai was supposed to have gotten over Chuuya, not melted in his embrace and bound them together for an eternity.

Except, when Dazai reaches out to check his fever, Chuuya’s clammy skin turns out to be ice cold. Stormy blue focuses on him, widening at Dazai’s shameless intrusion in his apartment, and slaps his hand away. Pointy, claw-like nails graze his skin, where small droplets of blood bloom from a single scratch. Chuuya’s pupils swallow the irises until only the barest hint of sky is visible. His nose twitches, mouth parting to reveal sharp canines.
Ah.
So he isn’t sick at all.
Or; Dazai finds his inner good samaritan to help his vampire partner on... a variety of levels.

“Are you sure?” he purred, leaning in close enough for Chuuya to feel his breath. Sharp fangs nicked Chuuya’s lower lip. “I’ve wanted to ruin you since the moment you stepped onto this mountain, little human.”
Or: Chuuya desperately needs a change of scenery, but he never signed up to share his new place with a mischievous and vengeful kitsune—let alone his mind, his body, and his heart.

Fukuzawa's voice, when it comes, is quiet enough that Dazai has to strain to hear it over the ringing in his own ears. "The Armed Detective Agency acknowledges the debt incurred to the Port Mafia during the incident eleven months prior, and agrees to its resolution as specified: the permanent transfer of one member's service and loyalty, at the receiving party's discretion." A pause, long enough that Dazai can hear exactly how much it costs him to keep going. "The receiving party has named Dazai Osamu."

Dazai is the embodiment of contamination—filth, dirt, and rot incarnated. An intruder in the sea of Chuuya’s being. A shark lurking in his water.
or: Christmas Eve two years after the DOA case’s conclusion. Dazai believes his time to surrender himself to death’s embrace has finally come. Chuuya convinces him to reconsider. He takes him into an embrace of his own instead—one that is painfully tender and human.

For once the boss miscalculated.
Mori thought Chuuya wouldn't abandon his family? He was right. Where he was wrong was assuming that Dazai wasn't a part of that family.
