Summary
During a diplomatic away mission, Bones is separated from the crew and subjected to a non-consensual Vulcan mind meld that continues to affect him in ways he doesn't even realize, which become increasingly inconvenient the longer they occur. Spock can fix it, of course, but that would involve McCoy letting him dive into his mind and for Jim to convince him that it was, actually, the best and only plan they had.
As always, Kirk and Spock get more than they bargain for in ways they weren't expecting and are forced to reckon with the consequences.
